Arborbrook Christian Academy partners with parents to equip, empower, and encourage students to cultivate godly character, pursue life-long learning, and love the Lord Jesus Christ.
Arborbrook Christian Academy began in 2005 with 40 students. Birthed as a vision of four couples, Arborbrook was created to be a Christian school in western Union County educating students using Charlotte Mason’s philosophies. Over the last 15 school years, we have seen substantial growth and expansion of our program to include arts, athletics, outdoor ed days, field trips, and technology in the upper school. Earning accreditation from Christian Schools International and AdvancEd in 2016, Arborbrook continues to grow to provide an excellent education for our students while maintaining our core values.
Arborbrook Christian Academy currently has 215 students enrolled K-12. We are accredited by Christian Schools International and AdvancED (formerly SACS).
Philosophy of Christian Education
We believe that the Bible clearly instructs parents to “bring children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Therefore, we seek to teach and discipline in a manner consistent with the Bible and a godly home environment.
We believe that God’s character is not only revealed in His Word, but is also displayed in every facet of His creation. Therefore, we teach that all knowledge is interrelated and can instruct us about God Himself and our purposes before Him.
We believe God wants us to love Him with our minds, as well as with our hearts, souls, and strength (Matthew 22:37). Therefore, we seek to challenge children individually and to teach them how to learn, and not simply to learn by unthinking repetition and response.
We believe that our purpose is to assist parents in carrying out their responsibility to educate, nurture, and equip their children so that they become responsible disciples of Christ. Students are challenged to think deeply and develop a distinctly Christian world and life view. Arborbrook desires all students to reach their God-given potential in order to be valuable servants in Christ’s kingdom, thus emphasis is placed on godly character, high standards of conduct and excellence in academics.
Arborbrook Christian Academy is accredited via dual accreditation with CSI (Christian Schools International) and Cognia/AdvancED (previously known as SACS, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools). We are also a members of the Greater Charlotte Association of Christian Schools (GCACS) as well as NACCAP (North American Coalition of Christian Admissions Professionals).
