About Arborbrook
Arborbrook Christian Academy is a four-day-a-week Christian school rooted in the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education. We value small class sizes, rich curriculum, meaningful time outdoors, and strong partnerships with families.
We are seeking a physical education teacher who loves children, enjoys active learning, and feels called to teach in a school where relationships, character, and faith are central to the student experience. This teacher would be responsible for team teaching with another PE teacher to further the experience for our students.
What You’ll Teach
- You will teach physical education across multiple grade levels, including:
- Kindergarten-4th grade (daily classes, 25-minutes)
- 5th-6th grade (twice weekly classes, 30-minutes)
- 7th-8th grade (weekly class, 90-minutes)
- 9th grade PE/Health (weekly class, 60-minutes)
- High school PE elective (weekly class, 60-minutes)
You will promote physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship while helping students develop healthy habits and Christlike character.
What Your Week Looks Like
- Teach PE classes Monday-Thursday across multiple grade levels
- Collaborate and team teach with another PE teacher
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
- Maintain grades in FACTS for applicable classes
- Communicate with parents and teachers regarding student behavior and progress
- Help coordinate and execute Field Day
- Lead and support lower school athletics opportunities
- Promote good sportsmanship and an attitude honoring to God, others, and the facility
- Manage inventory and maintenance of PE equipment
- Oversee upkeep and cleanliness of the gym
- Attend required trainings and school events throughout the year
- Game Day Administration, as needed
- Complete other duties as assigned

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is competitive and aligned with our mission. A sample full-time faculty payscale can be viewed here. Arborbrook does not currently offer health benefits.
Training and Expectations
Teachers receive training before the school year begins and ongoing support from supervising teachers and administration. Required training includes summer training (August 3-5, 2026), the ChildLight Conference (October 9-10, 2025), and a February in-service workday. Independent learning about Charlotte Mason’s writings is also expected.
